Steeltoe

For electrical contractors

Rough-in to pay app.
Run it all by talking.

Your foremen say what got pulled, set and passed. Steeltoe turns it into material pickups, truck and lift repairs, installed footage against the estimate, and the pay app in your GC's own sheet.

How it works

Steeltoe / 01

Four things
that eat the week.

Each one the way it plays out in the film: what was said, what Steeltoe did with it, and the screens it lands on.

01 / Tasks

Copper gets left behind.

Say who, what and when. Steeltoe writes the task, assigns it, sets the due date and puts it on their phone. It shows up on the company Punchlist and on the job, too.

Gary, from his van

“I need to create a task for Cody Marks to come pick up these wire reels by the end of the week and bring them back to the shop.”

02 / Repairs

Trucks go down.

Whoever is running it says what's wrong. Steeltoe writes up the repair with the voice note attached and puts it on the shop's board, where the shop lead sets the priority and hands it to a mechanic.

Nate, at the bucket truck

“Hey, bucket truck 22's driver-side outrigger won't come down, so the boom's locked out.”

03 / Job tracking

Who knows what got done?

At the end of the day, the foreman talks through what got done. Steeltoe fills in the daily report and counts it against the job's line items, so percent complete moves on its own.

Darnell, end of day

“We ran 600 feet of three-quarter EMT on level two, pulled the feeders to panel 2A, and rough-in passed inspection.”

04 / Billing

Then comes billing.

Drop in the customer's own spreadsheet and ask for the bill. Steeltoe reads their columns, pulls the month's daily reports, does the math and hands back their sheet, filled in.

Sharon, in the office

“Use this sheet. Take this month's job data and make the Schedule of Values for pay app 6.”

Steeltoe AI

  • Read the GC's Excel: 10 line items
  • Pulled 22 daily reports
  • Added stored material and 10% retainage
  • Filled in Cedar Point - Pay App 6.xlsx
